April got off to a flying start with our annual golf bash at the Bedford and County Golf Club. An early start meant bacon rolls were consumed in the mist but the sun soon broke through as we got down to the serious business of the day.

"Get in the hole" Marihelen had been worried all week about the competitive nature of some of the participants but it soon became clear this was just a transatlantic ploy to take the spotlight off her own game. Be warned, we've now seen the darker side!

At least one person will remember the event for for the rest of their lives. On the 5th, not only did Karl manage to win the nearest the pin, he did it in style with a hole in one. So congratulations to Karl. You'll be pleased to hear we've taken 5 shots off your handicap for next year!

A good day was had by all.
